Breitling Oil and Gas Corporation, an independent exploration and production company based in Irving, Texas, will present at 19th Annual Africa Oil Week in Cape Town, South Africa. The conference will take place between November 2 and November 4, 2012.
The presentation, entitled “Shale Gas in Africa: Applying Lessons from North America,” will be delivered by Breitling’s chief executive officer, Chris Faulkner, and will occur at 10:30am on Friday November 2, 2012.
Chris Faulkner, Breitling Oil and Gas CEO said “Now that South Africa has lifted the moratorium on fracking we expect things to heat up rather quickly.” Faulkner added, “Africa must lessen its dependence on coal and diversify its energy mix and I expect shale gas in Africa to be a large part of that in the mid-term and beyond.”
Mr. Faulkner serves as an advisor to the ECF Asia Shale Committee and sits on the Board of Directors for the North Texas Commission. He has been featured in numerous media outlets, including Reuters, Bloomberg, Financial Times, US News & World Report, FOX Business News and CNBC.
