Chris Faulkner, Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer Breitling Energy Corporation (BECC), is the driving force behind the company’s extraordinary growth, technology innovations and strategic approach to oil and gas exploration and production.

Informally dubbed “Frack Master” in the media for his unapologetic and outspoken industry advocacy, Mr. Faulkner was named Industry Leader of the Year in 2013 by the Oil & Gas Awards for the Southwest Region, Oil Executive of the Year in 2013 by the American Energy Research Group, and recognized in the “Dallas Who’s Who in Energy” in 2012 and 2013. Breitling received the 2013 Aggreko Award for Excellence in Environmental Stewardship from the Oil & Gas Awards for the Gulf Coast Region, was named 2013 E&P Company of the Year by the Oil & Gas Awards for the Southwest Region, “Best Independent Oil & Gas Company” by World Finance Magazine in 2011, 2012 and 2013, and to the “Dallas 100 List” in 2013, ranking fourth among the top 100 companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Mr. Faulkner brings a unique perspective to energy policy conversations in Washington, DC. While he understands the granular details of energy production–from the technical to the financial aspects—he has a global view of energy policy. He’s a trusted source of information for lawmakers on Capitol Hill, journalists and Washington policy analysts from respected think tanks. Mr. Faulkner kicked off the Natural Gas Roundtable luncheon series of 2014 in Washington and the CSIS/USAEE annual energy policy conference in Washington.

A knowledgeable and dynamic speaker whose oil and gas industry expertise is well regarded and sought after, Mr. Faulkner has been featured in hundreds of broadcast and print news outlets, including CNBC, FOX Business News, NBC News, and the Voice of America, as well as Forbes, US News & World Report, Bloomberg Businessweek, Inside Market Data, Oil and Gas Monitor, Petroleum Review, and Financial Times. He is a crowd favorite on the speaking circuit, giving dozens of keynote and other presentations at industry conferences in the U.S. and around the globe, including The Unconventional Gas and The Environment Conference in London, Shale Gas World Asia in Singapore, World Congress of Petroleum Microbiology in China, Oil Council Energy Capital Assembly in New York, and EMEA Unconventional Gas Exploration and Production in Turkey.

Mr. Faulkner is responsible for the company’s long-range economic and energy outlooks in support of investor relations, short and long-term business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and the development and application of new and existing technology for optimizing recovery efficiency within Breitling’s conventional and unconventional resources.

Mr. Faulkner serves as an advisor to the ECF Asia Shale Committee and sits on the Board of Directors for the North Texas Commission. He is also a member of the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers, the Dallas Petroleum Club, Independent Petroleum Association of America, Texas Alliance of Energy Producers and Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association. He is actively involved in local and national philanthropic and non-profit organizations, including Dallas Performing Arts, Texas CAN-DO, American Heart Association and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Mr. Faulkner studied biomedical engineering at Southern Methodist University, business and mathematics at Baylor University and at the University of North Texas.
