Chris Faulkner has over 9 years of experience in the oil & gas industry in North America, Europe and the Middle East in roles dealing with project management, production, facilities, drilling and business development. Mr. Faulkner drives the long-range economic and energy outlook of the Company, which serves as the basis for strategic planning as well as investor relations, short and long-term business strategy, mergers and acquisitions and the development and application of new and existing technology for optimizing recovery efficiency within Breitling’s conventional and unconventional resources.
Mr. Faulkner serves as an advisor to ECF Asia Shale Committee and sits on the Board of Directors for the North Texas Commission.
Mr. Faulkner studied Biomedical Engineering at Southern Methodist University, Business Administration and Mathematics at Baylor University and at the University of North Texas. He also received an honorary doctorate degree for his achievement in Business Administration from Concordia College.
Jeremy S. Wagers
Jeremy S. Wagers joined Breitling as Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel in December 2012 and was appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer in December of 2013. Prior to joining Breitling, Mr. Wagers was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Triangle Petroleum Corporation. From 2002 through 2005, he practiced law as a corporate finance and M&A attorney with Vinson & Elkins, LLP, in Houston, Texas and from 2005 through 2011, he practiced law as a corporate finance and M&A attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Wagers earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics (summa cum laude) from Baylor University and graduated from the University of Texas School of Law with Honors. In private practice, His practice concentrated on securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance and compliance.
Mr. Wagers has represented public and private companies, master limited partnerships, and investment banking firms in numerous capital markets offerings and has significant experience with public company mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive knowledge in the exploration and production, midstream and oil field services industries.
From January 2013 until joining Breitling in February 2014, Mr. Hoover served as Chief Financial Officer of TransCoastal Corporation in their transition to a publicly traded company. From March 2011 to September 2012, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Sun River Energy, a publicly traded independent oil and gas company. From June 2007 to June 2009, he served as Controller for Union Drilling, Inc., another publicly traded oil field services company. Mr. Hoover served as Chief Financial Officer from December 2004 to March 2007 for Ness Energy International, a publicly traded oil and gas company with operations in Texas and Israel.
Mr. Hoover is a licensed CPA from the State of Colorado. He has a B.S. from Regis University and a Master’s Degree in Taxation from the University of Colorado at Denver.
Joe Simo has 38 years of experience generating, evaluating and drilling oil and gas prospects. In 1986, Mr. Simo was responsible for generating some of the first horizontal drilling ventures in the Pearsall and Giddings Austin Chalk Fields. Mr Simo. has managed more than 675 wells in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Michigan, Arkansas, Wyoming, the Gulf of Mexico and on the North Island of New Zealand.
Mr. Simo is a 37 year member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and 20 year member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Mr. Simo has a B.S. in Geology with a minor in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
