As crude oil prices has risen over the last few weeks it comes as no surprise that we are paying more at the pump. The Texas, July 23- Average retail gasoline prices in Texas have risen 8.3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.32/g last week. The increase is double that of the national average.
However, these prices remain 28.0 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago.
Gasoline prices continue to rise across much of the nation and I don’t expect the national average to break out of its mid-$3/gal average until mid-to-late September when I think we will see prices begin to slide.
