A public hearing on the proposed Keystone XL pipeline will be held by the State Department in Grand Island Nebraska on April 18th.
The State Department says the meeting will give Nebraskans an opportunity to comment on the preliminary environmental impact study released by the department. The department released the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement March 1st.
The State Department says the meeting will be a listening session. Comments will be recorded and will be taken into consideration in preparing the final version of the environmental impact study.
Comments from those who cannot attend the meeting will be accepted through April 22nd.
