The Obama administration wants to make it more difficult to get Bakken oil out of North Dakota. Please, Mr. President, tell me what you have against North Dakota? What do you have against America becoming energy independent? Why are you working so hard to make this more difficult than it should be?
The latest is to eliminate the DOT-111 rail cars that ship oil across the country. Now, granted, these are old-technology and need to be replaced. But they’re all we have. It takes a long time to build-up the volume of train cars that could be mothballed immediately.
First, the Keystone. Now, train cars. I guess, Mr. President, we’ll have to truck the oil out of North Dakota. And that is the most energy and environmentally unfriendly way to do it. I just don’t get it.
