Oil and Gas Today with Chris Faulkner – Podcast #482

Headlines grab our attention.  Whether it’s a bold newspaper headline or a just a tweet, we focus on a few words that often form our opinion.  And…a little secret…often headline writers are great copywriters, but have no idea what they’re really saying…or writing. For example, headlines are tying fracking to earthquakes.

I have drilled hundreds of wells in the last 10 years, many of them have been fracked.  Not one time has there been any connection with earthquakes, ground water contamination, polluting an aquifer or shallow water table, or resulted in any injury.

Oil and Gas extraction can be done safely – and is being done safely 18,000 times a year in the United States.  I’m proud of our track record at Breitling Energy and that’s a headline you can print in all bold…120-point font.
