Oil and Gas Today with Chris Faulkner – Podcast #484

There were protests in California recently against the Sultan of Brunei over atrocious human rights violations.  Californian’s are up in arms because he owns the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Brunei is sitting on a billion and a half barrels of oil…mostly supplied to the Far East.  Oil made this jerk rich, and he’s abusing it.

But…California gets 1/3 of its oil from Saudi Arabia….where women can’t drive. So while protesting one human rights violation, we’re allowing another because our lifestyle would be crippled without Saudi oil.  We have to be consistent in our protests. Many want to ban fracking in the US. Yet, those same people fly, drive, eat, shop, and use 6000 other items that are all made from oil. You can’t have it both ways.  Oil fuels our country, and we need to produce our own.
