Oil and Gas Today with Chris Faulkner – Podcast #516

I saw the other day that Toyota (which is moving is U.S. operations to Texas) is going to develop a hydrogen fuel-cell car and bring it to Japan, the U.S. and Europe.

Fuel cells have been a tough nut to crack and remain prohibitively expensive.  But, they don’t emit greenhouse gasses, and they recharge in minutes, not hours.

Initial Price Tag: $70,000

So let me ask.  How many of you could run out and buy a $70,000 car, with the back-end of not having to put gas in it?

Not many.

BUT….you can buy a natural gas powered car right now for under $20,000, save up to $2 dollars a gallon in gas, and the carbon emissions are pale in comparison to gasoline.

America….doesn’t it make sense to convert our cars & trucks to natural gas?
