The Institute for 21st Century Energy, a division of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is on a blogging-road-tour along the route of the Keystone XL pipeline…..calling it the “Lost Opportunity Tour”. Along the way, they’re stopping in places like Glasgow, Montana where the town would receive an additional 7-million dollars in property tax revenue from the Keystone.
Stopping at Sam’s Supper Club….a Glasgow hot-spot for locals….they talk to city leaders about the new community swimming pool that isn’t built. The road improvements they badly need. The planned additions and extra computers for the library to help the community’s youth that are all on hold.
My hat’s off to the Chamber for sponsoring this. There’s more than just our national security at stake with this senseless decision to delay the Keystone XL.
